DO YOU HAVE A RAT PROBLEM?

If you have rats on your property, then you either already have a rat problem or you have one to come. If you do not deal with it quickly, It takes only one pair of rats for your nightmare to begin.
The life cycle of a rat is alarming. If you do not know what the life cycle is, keep reading.
A female rat is sexually mature and able to have a litter from three months of age. It is possible to produce a litter up to fourteen, where an average is around a litter of eight. So if half of the litter are female, then in three months time, those four females will produce their own litters. You do the maths. See the GIF below.
The female can produce five litters or more per year.
As soon as a female rat gives birth to a litter, it is ready to mate within a couple of days.
Rats can pretty much chew through anything including brick, concrete, timber, electrical cables and even soft metals.
Rats tunneling under property can cause alot of void/hollow space, that structural damage can be caused where even buildings have been known to collapse, from burrowing rats.
If a rat can burrow under your property, then it can potentially gain access to the wall cavities and gain access to your attic, creating an undisturbed warm and comfortable home to bring up an ever increasing and expanding family.
They can spread life threatening diseases such Leptospirosis, also known as Weils's Disease which is caused by skin contact with rat's urine. Rats constantly urinate everywhere they go so if you have rats, then just be careful where and what you touch. The next time you drink directly from a can of fizzy drink, where the can has been kept in poor storage, or lick your fingers after you have touched a surface where a rat has urinated, your potentially giving yourself Weil's Disease.
